If Top Gun: Maverick is the most exciting teaser of late, then the teaser trailer for "Jojo Rabbit" has got to be the most bizarre. If you haven't seen it, check it out below: Taika Waititi's latest movie is based on the book "Caging Skies" by Christine Leunens, and tells the story of Jojo "Rabbit" Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis). A member of the Hitler Youth, Jojo's world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic. And the only person he has to turn to as he attempts to deal with all that he's going through, is his imaginary friend...Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi). Now I know what you're thinking; "this sounds bat shit insane!" And to be fair, you're probably right. But Jojo Rabbit looks - in true Waititi fashion - absolutely hysterical. Wow! This is the gold standard in teaser trailers. Some incredible footage, with a hint or two at a potential story, and just a whisper of that classic soundtrack. Jospeh Kosinski (Oblivion) looks to be bringing the classic 80's Cold War movie into the 21st Century, and he's taking advantage of all the advanced technology that comes with it. Seeing Tom Cruise in the cockpit of an F/A-18 as it's catapulted across the deck of an aircraft carrier - not to mention the cockpit view of Cruise and the other aircraft in formation with him - looks phenomenal, and it really adds to the excitement and authenticity of the movie. Something that will only serve to immerse the audience in what they're seeing. Amazon has won the rights to develop a show based on the novels by Lee Child for their streaming service. The show will be produced by Amazon, along with Skydance Television and Paramount Television, and will follow the ex-military drifter as he travels the US, single-handedly solving problems and fighting crime. Think of Reacher as a one man A-Team. The character was previously played by Tom Cruise in two movies (Jack Reacher and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back), based on the eleventh and eighteenth books in the series. Christopher McQuarrie, who acted as writer/director on the first movie and producer on the second, will serve as executive producer on the show. This is to be the third series of novels developed by Amazon Studios into a TV show.
