Moustache Lockdown Streaming Survival Guide Part 9 | Lego Star Wars Holiday Special

It may only be November, but Disney is wasting no time in getting the festive ball rolling - much like everyone else. So for the latest instalment of our Lockdown Streaming Survival Guide I took a look at the 'Lego Star Wars Holiday Special' on Disney+. Don't forget to check out the rest of our guide, you can find all of the other entries by clicking here . After the defeat of the First Order, Rey and her friends are looking forward to their first Life Day celebration together. But Rey is struggling to teach Finn in the ways of the force, and a chance discovery in the 'Sacred Jedi Texts' sends her in search of a lost Jedi temple, which contains "a key to the galaxy's past". Something she hopes might aid in the training of her padawan. All the while the rest of the gang prepare for the big party. Given the notoriety of the original Star Wars Holiday Special, you'd figure even mentioning the words "holiday" and "special" in the

Moustache Lockdown Streaming Survival Guide Part 8 | Aaron Sorkin

With the latest entry in our Lockdown Streaming Survival Guide I decided to adopt a different approach. Instead of looking at one particular movie or TV show, I thought it would be fun to explore the works of one of my favourite writer/directors, and where you can find them. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the King of Dialogue... Mr Aaron Sorkin. Don't forget to check out the other entries in our Lockdown Streaming Survival Guide, you can find them all by clicking here . Let's kick things off at the beginning, with the legendary adaptation of Sorkin's stage play; A Few Good Men. Directed by Rob Reiner and based on the work of Sorkin's sister with the US Navy's JAG Corp, the movie is most famous for that intense verbal slanging match between Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson, however it's still one of the best courtroom dramas out there. Even on a rewatch it still makes for an intense and exciting watch.  Cruise's cheeky, laid back, rather un-military approach t

Moustache Lockdown Streaming Survival Guide Part 7 | Loudermilk

With the world still very much caught in the grasp of Covid-19, England is back in lockdown for at least four weeks. But it's not all doom and gloom, because with the return of lockdown comes something a little more fun... our Moustache Streaming Survival Guide is back, and this time we've got a hilarious comedy series for you. As always you can check out the other instalments in our survival guide by clicking here . Sam Loudermilk (Ron Livingston) is a recovering alcoholic living in Seattle. He may be sober, but he has a bad attitude and is generally pissed off at the entire world, something he seems to take out on almost anyone.  As a substance abuse counsellor he leads the local Alcoholics Anonymous group, and the quirky misfits who attend often bare the brunt of his negativity.  In fact the only person who he's nice to is his best friend and sponsor, Ben (Will Sasso), who has a few issues of his own to deal with. From Peter Farrelly and Bobby Mort comes a hysterical yet

Borat: Subsequent MovieFilm | Average Guy Movie Review

Fourteen years ago Borat Sagdiyev (Sacha Baron Cohen) made a film which brought great shame on his home country of Kazakhstan. After spending many years in prison, he is given the chance to put things right. He must return to the US&A with a gift for Vice President Mike Pence, one that will ingratiate Premier Nursultan Nazabayev (Dani Popescu) with Donald Trump and help to bring Kazakhstan into the big leagues. But Borat isn't travelling alone, this time his daughter Tutar (Maria Bakalova) - who has dreams of being the next Melania Trump - is along for the ride. In times like these it's reassuring to know that there is someone out there who isn't afraid to face the facts, to accept our reality and to deal with it sensibly. However, I never thought that someone would be Borat Sagdiyev. Yes, the number four journalist in all of Kazakhstan is back on another hilarious adventure, and he's here to lay it all out for us, to show us the world - by which of course I mean th

The Trial of the Chicago 7 | Average Guy Movie Review

After the riots that took place at the 1968 Democratic Convention, a group of anti-war protestors were named as defendants in a show trial brought by the Nixon administration. They were charged with conspiracy and crossing state lines with the intention of inciting riots, and what followed was probably one of the most controversial trials in the history of the American Justice system. With 'The Trial of the Chicago 7' Aaron Sorkin delivers an enthralling courtroom drama - and not for the first time.  Fans of the writer/director have another opportunity to enjoy the man's unique storytelling style, not to mention his awesome approach to dialogue. No one writes dialogue quite like Aaron Sorkin! Events j ump seamlessly between the '68 Democratic convention, the trial, and Abbie Hoffman's (Sacha Baron Cohen) recollections of both during an amusing stand-up routine. Sorkin - with the help of some clever editing and good use of soundtrack - expertly drives the tension up

FATMAN | Moustache Trailer Reaction

I never thought I'd see Mel Gibson playing Father Christmas, but that's exactly what we've got in the trailer for his new movie; 'Fatman'. And as you can imagine, it's not your usual kind of Christmas movie. If you haven't seen it, or you just want to watch it again, you can check out this awesome trailer below: It seems that Santa is going through a low patch, he's not feeling as appreciated as he used to - a fair reaction when people are trying to shoot you whilst you attempt to deliver presents. But when he leaves coal in the wrong kid's present, the not so jolly old Saint Nick must face off against a deadly assassin (Walton Goggins). Let the chaos begin! As a former member of the postal service, this movie actually feels quite relatable. Toiling away under an increasingly heavy workload and getting little to no appreciation from those I was delivering to, I remember it all very well. Although I'm glad to say that no one ever tried to kill me

Long Way Up | Average Guy TV Review

Ewan McGregor, Charley Boorman, and the Long Way Round team are finally back for their third epic adventure, and given how 2020 has turned out, they did it just in time. Right now it's the closest we can get to experiencing these far off places, making 'Long Way Up' a perfect piece of escapism. Beginning their trip at the southern most tip of South America, in Ushuaia, they'll travel 13,000 miles through 13 countries. Their route will have them criss-cross between Argentina and Chile, before entering Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico and the US, crossing the finish line in Los Angeles. This new adventure is quite different to their previous outings, and yet it all feels very familiar. Despite the gang being more than a decade older - not to mention some pretty life-changing motorcycle accidents for Charley along the way - the gang really haven't changed all that much. Not that that should come as much of a s
