Terminator: Dark Fate | Average Guy Movie Review

Twenty years ago the future was changed, but not as much as Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) had hoped. Now dedicated to a life of hunting terminators, Sarah finds herself on the run with an enhanced soldier from the future named Grace (Mackenzie Davis) and Dani (Natalia Reyes), a young woman whose future is key to the survival of the human race. But will they be able to outrun the deadly new terminator (Gabriel Luna) that's chasing them? Dark Fate follows the same basic premise as the first two movies, and while it never quite lives up to them, it is by far the best movie to have come since, by some considerable margin. It takes the story in an interesting new direction, one that provides an apparently unintentional jab at US immigration and border control policy. As always, thanks to time travel there's someone who needs protecting from a terminator, and a warrior sent back to protect them by the human resistance. Natalia Reyes brings strength to Dani, and an innocence.

Edie Falco is the latest actor to join James Cameron's mammoth movie project, the sequels to his 2009 hit, Avatar. The star of Nurse Jackie and The Sopranos will play General Ardmore, a commander responsible for the Resources Development Administration's (RDA) interests. Given the military title it's being speculated that her character will be one of the franchise's evil villains. She'll likely be in charge of their private military/security wing, possibly Colonel Quaritch's (Stephen Lang) replacement or superior. Lang is said to appear in the sequels, although it's unknown in what capacity. James Cameron commented on Twitter regarding the casting: Edie Falco is one of the greats - I can't wait to watch her kick some ass on the big screen. Currently we are unaware of which sequels Falco will appear in. But considering the timing of the announcement, and the fact that filming has supposedly completed on 2 and 3, can we assume that Falco will no

Cameron told Collider that Avatar 2 and 3 would feature "a tremendous amount of water work". Part of this will be achieved using footage captured by a deep-water submersible exploring the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Scenes have also been filmed with the cast under water and wearing motion capture suits, another first for the technology. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the director also revealed that Kate Winslet will be playing one of the "reef people". Sigourney Weaver will be reprising her role of Doctor Grace Augustine - although we're not sure how. Recently she told The Hollywood R
