FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA | Moustache Trailer Reaction

After proving to be a popular part of Mad Max: Fury Road , Furiosa finally has her own movie. One in which we will learn how she became Imperator for Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne). Check out the trailer for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga  below. Now you could argue that Furiosa already has her own movie because despite being a Mad Max  movie,  Fury Road  was really about her struggle to get home, while Max (Tom Hardy) was very much a bystander. But that is often the case with these movies. With the exception of the first movie, Max always seems to be stumbling into other peoples' troubles in his unending search for supplies and solitude. He even turned down the chance of a new home when he fled the Citadel just as Furiosa was anointed as it's new leader. Now, with Anya Taylor-Joy taking on the role, we get to see how she became the woman played so perfectly by Charlize Theron. Taylor-Joy seems like an excellent choice to play a young Furiosa. She brings a tough exterior to the chara

Fast & Furious 9 | Average Guy Movie Review

Old enemies emerge from the shadows forcing the team back into high-octane battle. This time, however, the family will be tested like never before, because the one threatening the world used to be part of that family. Justin Lin returns to the franchise that put him on the map, to helm yet another physics-defying action fest. This time the team face a challenge that hits all too close to home. All families have history, and Dom's is coming back to haunt him, giving us a glimpse at one of the major turning points in his life. One which explains why he holds his family so dear. But between all the new and returning characters, and the intertwining/rejigged plotlines that they bring with them, it's all starting to get a bit jumbled. The timeline is a mess. It doesn't help that the majority  of the new developments - most of which continue the pattern of trying to fix or alter what has gone before - go almost entirely unexplained. Simply put, they've tried to do too much, l

Fast & Furious 9 | Moustache Trailer Reaction

The first trailer for Fast & Furious 9 has landed, and as you'd expect it looks more insane than the last instalment... if that's possible. If you haven't seen the trailer, check it out below. It all starts with Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) living on a farm, having traded their fast cars for the quiet life in order to raise little Brian. But trouble is always around the corner, and once again Dom will have to put his crew of super secret agent drivers back together, to face a new foe, and an old one too. Get ready for a lot of conversations about "family". This is where the issues begin with this trailer. I'm not talking about the ludicrous nature of Fast & Furious and the way it plays fast and loose with the laws of physics. No, I'm referring to the fact that it's loaded with spoilers. We're introduced to Jacob (John Cena) - the movie's big bad - who Roman (Tyrese) describes as a "master thief

Long Shot | Average Guy Movie Review

Recently unemployed journalist Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) stumbles into a new line of work after a chance accident reunites him with his former babysitter, Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron). As the US Secretary of State, Charlotte is promoting a bill designed to encourage more environmentally friendly practices the world over. She is also preparing to run for President in the coming election, and she hires Flarsky to be a speech writer on her team, much to the chagrin of her advisors. But when sparks begin to fly between this odd couple, and politics and personal feelings begin to mix, could everything Charlotte has worked for come crashing down? Director Jonathan Levine delivers a colourful look at politics with Long Shot. This is an idealistic view of politics, one in which politicians - some at least - actually care about the work they're doing, beyond the usual approval ratings and expense claims. We will never see a politician like this, they'd either bend to the stat

A Million Ways To Die In The West | Average Guy Movie Review | Movierob's Genre Grandeur

For Movierob 's Genre Grandeur on Western Crossovers, I am looking at Seth MacFarlane's guide to surviving the old west for all those who aren't Clint Eastwood, A Million Ways To Die In The West. It follows Albert Stark (MacFarlane), a sheep herder on the frontier who seems to be the only person that sees the west for what it is; a dangerous, disease infested, unforgiving shit hole. "Hell, this was Miss America in 1880... ..."Holy Shit!"  After his girlfriend dumps him, Albert prepares to leave his hometown of Old Stump for San Francisco. But his plans are interrupted by the arrival of Anna (Charlize Theron), who shows him how to enjoy life. Unfortunately for Albert, Anna is married to Clinch Leatherwood (Liam Neeson), one of the most dangerous outlaws in the territory and he's none too happy about Albert spending time with his wife! The story for A Million Ways To Die In The West began as a joke between MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Welles

Atomic Blonde Red Band Trailer

Check out the Red Band Trailer below... From Director David Leitch, half of the directing team behind John Wick comes cold war, action-thriller...Atomic Blonde. Charlize Theron stars as Lorraine Broughton, a spy for MI6 tasked with investigating the death of an agent and retrieving a list of double agents. Starring alongside Theron are James McAvoy, Sofia Boutella, John Goodman, Toby Jones and Eddie Marsan. Broughton looks to be a combination of James Bond, Jason Bourne and Evelyn Salt. But given the director's previous work I'd say she's more like John Wick's sister. From the looks of the trailer, it appears Theron has had similar training as Keanu Reeves had, and she looks very capable. I really hope this is the movie that 'Salt' should have been!  Let us know what you think of the trailer by leaving a comment or find us on Facebook and Twitter.
