The Black Demon | Average Guy Movie Review

In an attempt to make a vacation out of a business trip, oil rig safety inspector Paul Sturges (Josh Lucas) brings his family along on an inspection visit to Baja, Mexico. But when a confrontation with locals forces the family to join Paul on the rig, they find it to be badly damaged and almost completely abandoned. And the only thing preventing them from leaving this slowly sinking nightmare is a creature of local legend; a megalodon known as "El Demonio Negro" - the Black Demon. It is well known that ever since Jaws  took the world by storm back in 1975, Hollywood has tried to recapture that magic - or at least that high degree of hype - with a great many killer shark movies. Which brings us to The Black Demon , the story of a monstrous megalodon sent by the gods to punish us for our mistreatment of the Earth. Yes that's right

Rambo: Last Blood | Average Guy Movie review

It has been 11 years since John Rambo came home, and in that time he has managed to find peace. Seeking a quiet life, he runs his family's horse ranch with his friend Maria Beltran (Adriana Barraza). He's gone from being a drifter victimised by a brutal small town Sheriff, to an 80's uber action-hero who could take on the Vietnamese and Russian armies almost single-handedly. Even as an ageing veteran he was able to decimate a tyrannical Burmese army unit. But now he's older, slower, he hasn't been in a fight in a while, he's even had a haircut! And with Rambo resorting to a few new tactics, the movie do

Rambo: Last Blood | Moustache Teaser Reaction

The first teaser trailer for Rambo: Last Blood has hit the internet, and as expected it looks to be a dark, brooding and bloody affair, with plenty of explosive action to go with it. Directed by Adrian Grunberg (Get the Gringo AKA How I Spent My Summer Vacation), this time Rambo is taking on a Mexican cartel as he tries to help a friend whose daughter has been kidnapped. Haven't seen the trailer yet? Check it out below: As usual, Rambo is seeking peace whilst also preparing for war. We all know that no matter how much he wants to avoid it, for Rambo there's always a battle to be fought, including with his inner demons. We get the usual inner monologue as the camera pans over a few mementoes, including his home made knife from 'Rambo' and a modest (ha-ha) collection of guns. There's also a shot of Rambo visiting a grave, I wonder, when he went home at the end of the last movie, did he make it in time to see his family? That's the thing, we
