Jurassic World: Dominion | Average Guy Movie Review

It has been four years since dinosaurs were released into the wild, and Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) are still fighting to protect them. But when their adopted daughter Maisie (Isabella Sermon) is kidnapped, along with Blue's infant, they find themselves embroiled in a corporate conspiracy. All the while, three survivors of the original park are investigating a global food crisis, one with links to the technology that built Jurassic World. The poster for Jurassic World: Dominion  promises "the epic conclusion to the Jurassic era". Unfortunately - but not unsurprisingly - it is a promise that the movie does not keep. That's not to say that it's all bad, because there are some fun and thrilling moments (occasionally involving an actual dinosaur or two), but it never really comes close to "epic". How could it when the very thing that Jurassic World  has been building towards (a world in which humans and dinosaurs must co

The Book of Boba Fett | Moustache Trailer Reaction

The first teaser for The Book of Boba Fett  has arrived, and it seems that the legendary bounty hunter - although I don't think he wants to be called that anymore - wasn't finished after he reclaimed his famous armour and took control of Jabba the Hutt's palace. If you haven't seen the trailer, or you just want to watch it again, check it out below. We always knew that Fett wouldn't just kick back and relax after taking Jabba's palace. This was never about a home. But it really is about time that this fan favourite character, this mysterious and infamous bounty hunter got to be more than just the guy who crashed and fell into a Sarlacc pit. Temuera Morrison finally got the chance to explore what Boba Fett is capable of in The Mandalorian  season 2, as he and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) helped Mando (Pedro Pascal) rescue little Grogu from Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). Their promise fulfilled, and Jabba's palace now under their control, it's time to fin

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom | Average Guy Movie Review

It has been three years since Indominous Rex went on a rampage, and with the park forced to close, the dinosaurs have settled into a free and undisturbed existence on the island. That is until, after decades of being dormant, Isla Nublar's volcano - Mount Sibo - exploded into life. Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) now heads up the Dinosaur Protection Group, a non-profit organisation who's goal is to protect the animals. Dearing wants to evacuate all the dinosaurs before an eruption wipes out all life on the island and recruits Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to help. But upon reaching Isla Nublar a third party's true intentions are revealed leaving Claire and Owen caught up in a web of conspiracy that could have global ramifications. The Jurassic Park franchise has had a rocky life. Jurassic Park was a smash hit, 20 years after creating the summer blockbuster with Jaws, Spielberg was back to revolutionise it with more animatronic monstrosities. Then 4 years later he t

Should there be another Jurassic Park sequel?

We all know that the sequel to Jurassic World is happening, the question is should it? Images courtesy of Google Images Jurassic Park was a great movie, Steven Spielberg once again delivered us a summer blockbuster with a great story, cast and special effects. In fact the special effects were revolutionary for the time! Over twenty years and three sequels later I personally am left wondering if Universal and co. should stop milking this particular cash cow. Jurassic World like its predecessors delivered state of the art special effects but the story definitely felt like an after thought especially when considering the sheer number of product placements; "Verizon Wireless presents the Indominus Rex" and I'm only guessing but a fair chunk of the movie's budget too. It seemed there were more Mercedes Benz vehicles on that island than in the whole of Germany! Obviously this isn't unusual for Hollywood movies or more specifically the Jurassic Park movie
