VENOM: THE LAST DANCE | Moustache Trailer Reaction

Venom horse!!! In other words; the trailer for Venom: The Last Dance  has landed. What are your thoughts on what is likely to be Tom Hardy's last outing as the symbiotic duo? My first thought, based on this trailer, is The Last Dance  looks fun. But I've been wrong before, because I thought the same after seeing the trailer for Let There Be Carnage . I love the first movie , it has some issues but for the most part it's a lot of fun, especially the odd couple relationship between Eddie Brock and Venom (Hardy & Hardy). Unfortunately the same cannot be said about Let There Be Carnage . Hardy continues to be brilliant in the lead roles, but the movie does not deliver the "carnage" it promises. So as much as this trailer looks good - Venom  horse! - it gives me pause. The Last Dance , which is written by Hardy and first time director Kelly Marcel (writer on the first two Venom movies and Cruella ) looks to pick up where the last movie - as well as a few post credi...

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness | Average Guy Movie Review

After encountering America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), a young woman with the ability to travel between dimensions, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is blasted on a journey across the multiverse. But with an unseen foe interested in America's power, can he protect her? Including from himself. Sam Raimi returns to both the director's chair and the comic-book movie genre to deliver the MCU's first horror styled movie. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is exactly the kind of bonkers you'd expect from The Evil Dead  director, and is still in keeping with the MCU. Stephen Strange is the perfect character for a fringe story like this because his work with the mystic arts puts him way out on the edge of everything, and Multiverse of Madness  takes us deeper into that world. Only this time we're able to explore what happens when his genius - and the arrogance that comes with it - gets the better of this supremo sorcerer. Something which raises a few trust issues...

Doctor Strange: Average Guy Movie Review

They say that some roles are written for specific actors, you know...like it's fate or destiny that such and such fits this role perfectly. Well I'm starting to think Benedict Cumberbatch is the example that doesn't necessarily disprove this theory, but declares it utter bullshit instead! Cumberbatch knocked it out of the park as Sherlock, he literally kicked arse as Khan (or John Harrison depending on your point of view) and now he is mystical, maybe even spellbinding as Marvel's Doctor Stephen Strange. Strange is a brilliant yet arrogant neurosurgeon until a horrific car crash severely damages his hands and robs him of his ability to do what he loves. After exhausting every possibility modern medicine can provide he looks to more mystical solutions, which leads him to The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) who shows him there's more to this world than he ever thought possible. With the help of Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Wong (Benedict Wong), The Ancient On...

Triple 9: Average Guy Movie Review

Anyone who has seen Shawn Ryan's The Shield will have an idea of what to expect with Triple 9 . Cops who do their job but are also out to take care of themselves. If you're looking for a nice movie, don't bother with this, it's a gritty view of crime, police work and life in Atlanta, but if you want an interesting movie grounded in reality with great characters you should definitely watch Triple 9 . The plot revolves around a heist crew made up of two ex-special forces operators  (Ejiofor and Reedus) , two cops (Mackie and Collins Jr) and an ex-cop (Paul) who work for the head of the Russian mob (Winslet). They are forced to take on a high risk job and in order to delay and diminish any Police response, plan to murder a cop (radio code for such an incident is 999 - urgent assistance), the cop they pick is Mackie's partner played by Casey Affleck. To complicate matters for the crew, Ejiofor has a child with Winslet's sister (Gadot), and Winslet uses this to h...
