Live Health | Average Guy Movie Review

During the pandemic therapist Doctor Peter Marcus (Timothy J. Cox) continues to treat his patients through video calls. But in a world in which many are struggling, who helps the helper? The first thing that strikes you when watching Live Health  is a sense of familiarity. We all lived with lockdown for two years, on and off. And there were times when it felt like it may never end. This sense of confinement and uncertainty is captured perfectly by the directing team of star Timothy J. Cox and his wife Jamie. Then there's the loneliness. The good doctor may be meeting with several patients through the course of his day, but seeing it all happen through a series of video calls - and all from the doc's perspective - really rams home the fact that talking to someone through a screen is no substitute for real human interaction. The second thing that strikes you is how difficult it must be, helping people with their issues when you're struggling with your own. Now you could argue

John Wick: Chapter 4 | Average Guy Movie Review

Chad Stahelski leads us on another deliciously colourful foray into this gilded underworld of death, and I loved every minute of it! Both Keanu Reeves and John Wick are relentless - one in his ongoing fight to keep on living, and the other in his desire to see this loveable assassin lay waste to yet more of the High Table's minions. And that's the thing about John Wick; he is loveable. For a man of very few words, he's an engaging protagonist. One who is easy to root for, and has been since the very beginning. Chapter 4 is the longest John Wick  movie yet, and it is filled to the brim with extreme action, all of which is on an epic scale. How Stahelski and his incredible team keep coming up with new ways for John to shoot, hit, stab and drive his way through armies of killers, I don't know. But once again, they have delivered. Everything about this movie - from the characters (including some rather complicated relationships), to the sets and locations, the cars, and ev

Some Exciting Stuff Came Out Of SDCC's Hall H | Moustache Reaction

There was some exciting stuff coming out of this years San Diego Comic Con! This includes panels for the Game of Thrones  spin-off; House of The Dragon , and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power . And lets not forget the trailers for I Am Groot  and John Wick: Chapter 4 . The latter being particularly exciting for me, as our favourite assassin not only takes on another legion of killers in his feud with the High Table, but also must face up to the question of "where this ends". Obviously DC  and Marvel  to give us a glimpse of their upcoming slates, although DC 's wasn't quite on the same scale as Marvel 's. This might have something to do with the controversy surrounding some of their stars, but it certainly didn't stop them from wowing us with the two trailers they did show us. First up we've got a new trailer for Black Adam , which hits UK cinemas on 21st October. Dwayne Johnson's titular all-powerful being is causing chaos while Pierce Brosnan

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum | Average Guy Movie Review

After killing a member of the High Table on Continental grounds, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) once again finds himself on the run with a price on his head. But he's not the only one paying for his actions, an Adjudicator (Asia Kate Dillon) has been dispatched by the High Table to punish those who aided him. Will John be able to make things right before he drowns in the bloodbath he started over his car and his dog? If anyone can, it's Baba Yaga himself! With the action kicking off pretty much where Chapter 2 left things, we're seeing a different side to John Wick. Over the course of the last two movies we've seen him utilise every asset he has available to him, carefully planning and executing his missions, now he's very much alone...and improvising. For him it's a nightmare, trapped in a city filled with rival assassins, all looking to claim that $14 million bounty. But for us, it's delicious carnage as Wick literally kills his way through a multitude

John Wick: Chapter 2: Average Guy Movie Review

The man that is sheer will is back, and he doesn't disappoint! In John Wick, the titular assassin opened a doorway into the underworld he left behind, in order to seek revenge on the people who killed his dog and stole his car. Now a demon from his past - someone to whom he's bound by a blood oath - has come through the doorway and dragged John back into his old life. The demon is Santino D'Antonio, an Italian crime lord who helped John with the impossible task that allowed him to escape the life. In order to fulfil the oath, John must complete a task for Santino, something Santino can't or won't do himself. The problem with sequels is more often than not, it follows exactly the same pattern as the first movie, only with different characters. The Hangover Part 2, Ghostbusters 2, Jaws 2 are all guilty of this. John Wick: Chapter 2 doesn't make this mistake. It doesn't necessarily bring anything new to the table, but it does delve deeper into the

What's Up Moustache?

There's always some interesting information coming out of Hollywood, here's some that caught my eye. First, footage of Keanu Reeves training on a shooting range for John Wick 2. We see him engage multiple targets at varying distances, transitions from his primary weapon to his sidearm and a shotgun, all with speed and precision. A lot of work went in to the first movie and it showed, John Wick was very successful and very popular with movie goers. Now, those working on the sequel are going to have to work really hard considering how high they set the bar with the first movie. Unfortunatley we have to wait until February 2017 to see John Wick 2. Also out in February is Fifty Shades Darker, a watered down porno courtesy of a Twilight fan fiction writer, The Lego Batman Movie, a spin off of The Lego Movie and The Mountain Between Us starring Charlie Hunnam and Margot Robbie. If John Wick 2 lives up to its predecessor I don't think it will have any trouble with i
