A Fast Moustache ReWatch | The Fast Saga

The cinemas are open again, which means the new films that we've been waiting a long time to see are finally starting to arrive. One of those is the latest Fast  movie, something I hadn't originally planned to see, but then I figured it's another movie to enjoy on the big screen. Which got me thinking, why not binge the entire franchise before I do. Some of those movies I haven't watched in years. I kinda stole this idea from a journalist with The Guardian; Tim Jonze . He watched all eight of the Fast & Furious movies in 24 hours, and was changed by it. You can find his article here , it makes for a hilarious read. I'm not quite as crazy he is, I did it in about three days.  This all begins - surprisingly enough - where it all started, with The Fast and the Furious . I was in high school when this came out, so obviously I thought it was great; cool cars and lots of fast driving. What's not for a teenager to like? Although, even back then I wasn't cool e

Fast & Furious 9 | Average Guy Movie Review

Old enemies emerge from the shadows forcing the team back into high-octane battle. This time, however, the family will be tested like never before, because the one threatening the world used to be part of that family. Justin Lin returns to the franchise that put him on the map, to helm yet another physics-defying action fest. This time the team face a challenge that hits all too close to home. All families have history, and Dom's is coming back to haunt him, giving us a glimpse at one of the major turning points in his life. One which explains why he holds his family so dear. But between all the new and returning characters, and the intertwining/rejigged plotlines that they bring with them, it's all starting to get a bit jumbled. The timeline is a mess. It doesn't help that the majority  of the new developments - most of which continue the pattern of trying to fix or alter what has gone before - go almost entirely unexplained. Simply put, they've tried to do too much, l

Fast & Furious 9 | Moustache Trailer Reaction

The first trailer for Fast & Furious 9 has landed, and as you'd expect it looks more insane than the last instalment... if that's possible. If you haven't seen the trailer, check it out below. It all starts with Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) living on a farm, having traded their fast cars for the quiet life in order to raise little Brian. But trouble is always around the corner, and once again Dom will have to put his crew of super secret agent drivers back together, to face a new foe, and an old one too. Get ready for a lot of conversations about "family". This is where the issues begin with this trailer. I'm not talking about the ludicrous nature of Fast & Furious and the way it plays fast and loose with the laws of physics. No, I'm referring to the fact that it's loaded with spoilers. We're introduced to Jacob (John Cena) - the movie's big bad - who Roman (Tyrese) describes as a "master thief

Jason Bourne: Average Guy Movie Review

This is probably the hardest review I've written so far. I've been a fan of the Bourne movies ever since The Bourne Identity came out. I am one of the apparent few who not only like The Bourne Legacy but also can't understand why so many others don't like it. So the idea of Matt Damon returning to the role of Bourne after nine years was very exciting. Unfortunately the best way to describe the new movie is underwhelming. I think the problem with Jason Bourne (that's the movie not the man) is, not only does it feel like a rehash of previous movies but it also seems to have lost the realistic feel that the Bourne movies are known for. Click here for the spoiler filled review in which I go over my problems with the movie. Nine years after he disappeared into the East River, Jason Bourne re-emerges in Greece. Drawn out by new questions concerning his past, Bourne must once again go in search of answers while the CIA stop at nothing trying to catch him. This ti

The Bourne Reappearance

In a year full of superhero movies: Deadpool Batman v Superman Captain America: Civil War X-MEN: Apocalypse Suicide Squad it's nice to see the return of a super human of a more normal kind. This summer Jason Bourne returns to the big screen in (oddly enough) Jason Bourne. The plot is currently unknown. Our first glimpse comes in the form of a 31 second superbowl spot. However, with a 28th July release date I don't think it'll be long before we see another longer trailer. In terms of plot we know very little. Bourne is still on the move, living in the shadows. In the trailer he says "I remember everything" to which Nicky (Julia Stiles) replies "remembering everything doesn't mean you know everything". But it appears he's still on the run, apparently surviving by competing in underground bare knuckle boxing. When a surveillance photo of him appears on a screen in a government control centre one of the agents (Ato Essandoh) says "t
