Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny | Average Guy Movie Review

It's 1969, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is about to retire, when out of the blue his goddaughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) shows up with questions about an ancient artifact known as the Antikythera. But she's not the only person looking for it. Jürgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen) - a Nazi scientist - is also on the trail, and he intends to use the Antikythera to correct what he sees as the mistakes of the past. Making it a race against time for Indy and his new found friend to make sure the past stays the way it is. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny  - awful title, I know -  explodes on to screen with a de-aged Indy and his friend Baz (Toby Jones) causing the retreating German army trouble in 1944. It's the perfect way to kick off what is meant to be Ford's final movie with the fedora and whip - with a lunatic escapade to recover a piece of history, reminiscent of the crusading archaeologist's classic adventures. Uncharted: Drake's Depiction

If there's one thing you can almost guarantee about Hollywood it's that it can't make a decent movie adaptation of a video game. I say almost because Michael Fassbender may prove me wrong very soon with Assassin's Creed. But look at the list: Super Mario Bros. Street Fighter Mortal Kombat Wing Commander Lara Croft: Tomb Raider + Cradle of Life Resident Evil + 5 sequels and a possible TV spinoff Doom DOA: Dead or Alive Hitman + Agent 47 Far Cry Max Payne Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Need for Speed Mediocre is a word that springs to mind. Even Warcraft: The Beginning has received mostly negative reviews despite being the highest grossing movie of all time based on a video game. So do I really want to see Nate and Sully hit the big screen? Or would Uncharted fans be better off with them staying in their PlayStations? Before you answer you should consider Tomb Raider; arguably very similar to Uncharted and those movies are terrible! Nate always m

Indiana Jones and the Sequel of Doom

Several years ago Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas had a little reunion. That reunion resulted in the near destruction of one of our best loved movie franchises! Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was nothing short of a tragedy that simply left fans asking...why? Why aliens? Why CGI ants? Why cast the great John Hurt as a babbling nut? Why is Marion back? Why are they getting married? Why, instead of Sean Connery or Short Round do we get Shia LaBeouf? Why even bother? Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull I imagine it happened much like the plot of "The Hangover". Bunch of blokes get together, get wasted, wake up the next day with no memory and while trying to find out what happened discover they made a really bad movie. The only good thing that came of Crystal Skull was the South Park episode about it. Now they're doing it again. It has been announced that Indiana Jones and the Sequel of Doom (not the official ti
