It's fair to say that Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot has been shrouded in a mist of controversy since it's announcement only to be hit by a tsunami of hatred. Before I get into the review I'd just like to say that it doesn't matter how much you like the 1984 original, you don't have the right to be a dick to people! As a successful comedian and actress she deserves our respect, getting a starring role in a major Hollywood movie is an incredible achievement. Having watched the promo video what do you think? This week I saw Ghostbusters in 4DX and it definitely made the movie more of a ride. In fact 4DX feels like it was designed to appeal to the roller coaster crowd but will you miss the experience when watching the same movies at home? When I saw Ghostbusters for the second time I decided to view it in 4DX because I wanted to know what the "environmental effects" did for the movie going experience. If there's one thing you can almost guarantee about Hollywood it's that it can't make a decent movie adaptation of a video game. I say almost because Michael Fassbender may prove me wrong very soon with Assassin's Creed. But look at the list: Super Mario Bros. Hollywood's punching bag, Adam Sandler stars in the remake of 1974's The Longest Yard (A.K.A. The Mean Machine). Slated by critics, it still took $47.6 million on its opening weekend, the largest of Sandler's career and became the second highest grossing sports comedy of all time.
