Uncharted: Drake's Companion

With the Tomb Raider reboot in full swing and Indiana Jones 5 set for a 2019 release, it seems that Sony is finally getting somewhere with the long delayed Uncharted movie. Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, The Internship, Real Steel) has been attached to direct and Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin' Aces) shared a photo in January indicating he had completed a draft of the script. Last week it was announced that Tom Holland had been cast as Nathan 'Nate' Drake. Holland will play a young version of the character in a story inspired by that of the third game, in which Nate meets his friend and mentor; Victor 'Sully' Sullivan. But who will they get to play the smooth, moustachioed treasure hunter? Holland apparently would like to see Jake Gyllenhaal or Chris Pratt get the job, what do you think? I suppose it depends on what sort of tone the movie will take. The director, Shawn Levy is known more for comedy than anything else. Can we expect a light-hearted, Na

The reviews are in...Wonder Woman is looking good!

Screen Junkies News reported last night that the embargo on social media reaction to Wonder Woman has been lifted and that by all accounts, things are looking good. According to one twitter user; the positive reactions broke twitter! Critics have had very positive things to say: Wonder Woman is the DC movie I've been waiting for. It's exciting, inspiring, funny, and has some truly awe-inspiring action scenes. — Germain Lussier (@GermainLussier) 19 May 2017 Happy to report 'Wonder Woman' is a blast and @GalGadot is fantastic. Her chemistry with Chris Pine is magnetic. Absolutely recommended. pic.twitter.com/VPW4QW3IhM — Steven Weintraub (@colliderfrosty) 19 May 2017 WONDER WOMAN: Easily my favorite DCEU film. Has the humor and heart the franchise so desperately needs. Gadot and Pine are charming as hell. — Kate Erbland (@katerbland) 19 May 2017 I have to admit, when I first read about the Wonder Woman movie I got a 'Captain America:

Tom Hardy cast as Venom | Moustache Reaction

Sony's reboot of their Marvel universe took a step in the right direction this week. Tom Hardy has been cast as Eddie Brock in the upcoming Venom movie. It was confirmed yesterday when Sony tweeted a picture of Hardy wearing a Venom t-shirt. The actor, known for The Revenant, Mad Max: Fury Road and Inception is said to be a big fan of the character. The movie is set for an October 5th 2018 release and will be directed by Zombieland's Ruben Fleischer. In return, the host is granted a range of incredible powers. After Peter Parker was able to separate himself from the symbiote, it moved to Eddie Brock and together they became Venom. Both Brock and

Sleepless: Average Guy Movie Review

When you read a cast list that includes Jamie Foxx, Michelle Monaghan, David Harbour and Dermot Mulroney, you start to expect good performances and an interesting story. Unfortunately, with 'Sleepless' this is not the case. A remake of the 2001 French action movie 'Sleepless Night', Las Vegas police detective Vincent Downs (Foxx) and his partner Sean Cass (T.I.) steal 25 kilos of cocaine from a local supplier. Cocaine that was supposed to be delivered to Rob Novak, a very dangerous and unstable drug dealer. In order to retrieve their product, the supplier - casino boss Stanley Rubino (Mulroney) - has Downs' son kidnapped. Downs' attempts to return the drugs are hindered by two cops from Internal Affairs; Bryant (Monaghan) and Dennison (Harbour). What ensues is one deadly and chaotic night in a Las Vegas casino. Sleepless attempts to live up to the likes of Training Day, Street Kings, The Shield and even Die Hard in a way, but it just doesn't get clos

Judge Dredd: Mega-City One | Moustache Reaction

According to Entertainment Weekly, there's a live action Judge Dredd TV show in the works. The unstoppable lawman who polices the sprawling urban chaos that is Mega-City One was created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra back in 1977 for 2000 AD. Dredd has been portrayed in movies by Sylvester Stallone and Karl Urban. Urban's 'Dredd' came out in 2012 and although not a box office hit, it has developed quite a cult following. IM Global Television president Mark Stern (Battlestar Glactica), IM Global Television CEO Stuart Ford, and Jason and Chris Kingsley who own UK game developer, Rebellion will act as executive producers on the show. Ford and the Kingsleys were executive producers on 'Dredd'. There have been talks of a sequel to 'Dredd' for quite some time, but it has never gone beyond that. As a fan of the movie, Urban's performance and the world they created, this is something that disappointed me. The show - currently titled Judge Dr

Going in Style: Average Guy Movie Review

Every now and then, it's nice to sit down and watch a light-hearted movie that isn't going to challenge you. Going in Style is one of those movies, three great actors having a bit of fun. When three old friends; Joe (Michael Caine), Willie (Morgan Freeman) and Albert (Alan Arkin) discover the company they spent decades working for is moving overseas and their pensions are to be dissolved, they face losing everything they've worked for. In order to prevent this from happening, they decide to take matters into their own hands by robbing the bank that's handling the company's transition. Directed by Zach Braff, Going in Style is a remake of the 1979 movie of the same name. It's fair to say this isn't going to win any awards, but does that really matter? In this day and age, the situation the three leads find themselves in is very relatable for far too many people! Now I'm not saying that you should rob a bank when facing financial trouble and neith

We Make Movies: Average Guy Movie Review

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go behind the scenes on an independent film? Wondered how the process differs between a big budget Hollywood production and an indie movie? If so, 'We Make Movies' could be the...err movie for you. Director and star Matt Tory wanted to make a movie about the process of making movies, just not the Hollywood process. Think Bowfinger meets Tropic Thunder. Adopting a documentary style in which cameras go behind the scenes of a minor motion picture, We Make Movies tells the story of a group of college students who spend the summer making a movie for their hometown's film festival. A movie that blends together all the greatest films ever made in what Stevphen (not a typo) the director (played by Tory) calls "an homage". Tory decided to make the movie with his friends, in very much the same way as the movies they made as children. The cast all play highly exaggerated versions of themselves. There's the eg

Marvel’s The Defenders | Official Trailer | Netflix - Moustache Reaction

We've seen the Avengers unite to save the world in the MCU, now it's time for Netflix to unite their four Marvel heroes so they can save New York from...Sigourney Weaver. Well her character, Alexandra Reid to be exact. The first season will become available on Netflix on 18th August 2017, but the first trailer has finally arrived and the show looks epic!  From the trailer we learn that Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) has got caught up in a major investigation that Misty Knight (Simone Missick) is running. Not only that, Jones' actions have resulted in the death of someone important to the investigation, someone she was trying to protect. It's at this point that Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) shows up to act as Jones' lawyer. Meanwhile, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is contemplating his future. Cage tells Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) he wants to help people, so she introduces him to Danny Rand (Finn Jones).  But ultimately, it looks like Murdock's old me

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: Average Guy Movie Review

The adventures of Groot and co. continue in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and lets face it, everyone is desperate to see Baby Groot in action. After saving the galaxy from Ronan the Accuser the Guardians are working as mercenaries, offering their services to the highest bidder. When one of the team (shall we say) liberates a precious item from one of their clients it triggers a chain of events that not only lead to Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) meeting his father, Ego (Kurt Russell) but to the Guardians having to save the galaxy once again. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been described as a continuation of the team's story rather than a sequel and that's pretty accurate.  As with all sequels, James Gunn is able to expand the universe, he  stated in an interview that most of the unanswered questions from the first movie would be answered in Vol. 2. The story picks up three months after the first Guardians movie with one of the most entertaining opening credits sequenc
