Thor: Love & Thunder | Average Guy Movie Review

After a troubling few years Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth) is on a journey of discovery. Or should that be re-discovery? Oh well. After spending some time fighting with the Guardians of the Galaxy, a distress signal sends Thor and Korg (Taika Waititi) - as well as a couple of noisy new pals - off in search of a being known as the God Butcher (Christian Bale). It's a journey that will bring him back to New Asgard, and will re-acquaint him with an old friend... or two. Thor: Love & Thunder is a bigger, brighter and more colourful affair than what has gone before it. Something akin to a 1980's action/sci-fi adventure, with a soundtrack to match. Taika Waititi doubles down on all the craziness and heart that made Ragnarok  such a success, only this time he doesn't quite get the balance right. It's not that Love & Thunder  isn't funny. Quite the opposite, in fact. Korg's narration being a perfect example, including his habit of forgetting a certain scientist

Avengers Endgame | Moustache Trailer Reaction

The trailer for Avengers: Endgame has finally arrived. No doubt you've already seen it, but if not you can check it out below. Well, it seems things are looking even bleaker than they did at the end of Infinity War. Tony is stranded in space, onboard what appears to be the Milano. There is a glimpse of Nebula at one point. The question is; what caused the ship to be so badly damaged? Was it the battle with Thanos on Titan? Or has something happened in the interim? Whatever it was, it seems Tony has finally come across a piece of technology even he can't fix, and is pretty much at breaking point.  The rest of the team are still on Earth, reeling from the moment in which Thanos snapped his finger and half the population of the galaxy disappeared. But at least Steve managed to find a moment to shave his beard. He and Romanoff have some sort of plan in mind, enough for Steve to break out the stealth suit from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and his lucky compass,

Thor: Ragnarok | Average Guy Movie Review

The God of Thunder returns in his third solo outing and this time he must save Asgard from Cate Blanchett's Hela, the Goddess of Death. But not before he escapes the clutches of The Grand Master (Jeff Goldblum), who forces Thor to participate in a gladiatorial match with his "friend from work". By adding his unique, nutty humour into the mix, director Taika Waititi takes Thor and the MCU in a new direction. Ragnarok is dark and serious and light and funny, all at the same time, and Waititi manages to strike a perfect balance between the two. Despite all of the changes - well tweaks - this still looks like a Thor movie, they haven't tried to distance Ragnarok from the previous entries. But whereas the first two did feel kind of separate from the galaxy we see in Guardians, this one bridges the gap by bringing Asgard into the wider universe. So it's only fitting that our hero faces a new kind of villain. First there's Hela. Having escaped the

Thor: Ragnarok Teaser Trailer

Check out the trailer below... Finally, we've caught a glimpse of Taika Waititi's vision for the God of Thunder's third solo adventure. The teaser trailer hints at what Thor (and one of his work colleagues) was up to while the rest of the Avengers were falling out back on Earth.   It appears that Asgard falls victim to Hela (Cate Blanchett), who according to Blanchett "has been locked away for millenia getting more and more cross". After seeing Hela destroy Mjolnir, Thor finds himself in the hands of the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) on the planet Sakaar. There he is forced to fight in a gladiatorial arena and one of his opponents is the Hulk. The big green rage monster is said to be more than just...well a big green rage monster like in previous movies. In fact Ruffalo describes him as having "swagger". There are hints at other new characters, including Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Skurge (Karl Urban).  Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki, w
