It seems that Marvel has come up with a way to get us in the Christmas spirit early, this year. That's right; the trailer for their new show Hawkeye  has arrived, and if it's anything to go by, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) will be bringing the festive cheer. For me, the announcement of a Hawkeye  show was a welcome one. I figured it was about time the most unappreciated Avenger got some love. In fact, I never understood why he is so unappreciated. He's a fun character, and Jeremy Renner plays him brilliantly. I also figured his show would be something of a low key affair, especially when compared to the Marvel  shows that have gone before it. The second trailer for Avengers: Endgame has arrived, and it's a little more hopeful than what we've seen up to this point. If you haven't already seen it, check it out below. It starts off with a little recap, what our heroes have been through over the last ten years, the things they've seen and the people they've lost. Tony thinking about how he became Iron Man, Steve Rogers doing the same with his own past and Thor thinking about his father and how he became King of Asgard, only to see half of his people - if not more - wiped out in an instant. Hawkeye teaching what could be his daughter - or possibly a young Kate Bishop - to use a bow and arrow is a particularly pertinent shot, given that we have no idea what has happened to him since the snap - or "Decimation" as it's said to be known in the movie - other than something caused him to take on a new identity as 'Ronin', and that Romanoff will be the one to hunt him down. 

Based on a true story, the movie follows a group of school friends who have been playing the same game of Tag every year during the month of May since 1983. Now, Jerry (Jeremy Renner) - the only member of the group to have never been tagged - plans to quit the game when he gets married at the end of the month. Realising this will be their last chance, Hoagie (Ed Helms) unites the group in a last ditch effort to finally tag him. Along for the ride are Hoagie's wife, the very competitive Anna (Isla Fisher), Jerry's fiancé Susan (Leslie Bibb) and Rebecca Crosby (Annabelle Wallis), a journalist for The Wall Street Journal. As Hoagie and the gang put their plan into action, the mad-cap antics ensue. All of the cast look as if they're having a blast bringing this incredible true story to life. Yes this the Hollywood "heightened" version of the story, but it does clearly demonstrate the perils of such a unique game. When alien spacecraft appear at twelve random locations across the globe, the whole world scrambles to figure out where these ships have come from and why. In the US, linguist, Doctor Louise Banks (Amy Adams) is recruited by the government to establish communication with the aliens. A task made increasingly difficult by the rising tensions between host nations. Arrival is directed by Denis Villeneuve, the man behind Sicario, Prisoners and the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 and also stars Jeremy Renner, Forest Whitaker, Michael Stuhlbarg and Tzi Ma. In a way, Arrival resembles the first hour of Independence Day. The ships show up, many begin to panic and across the world, governments attempt to make contact. This is where the similarities pretty much end, instead of uber destruction porn you get a very tense, slow burn, drama. This is probably the hardest review I've written so far. I've been a fan of the Bourne movies ever since The Bourne Identity came out. I am one of the apparent few who not only like The Bourne Legacy but also can't understand why so many others don't like it. So the idea of Matt Damon returning to the role of Bourne after nine years was very exciting. Unfortunately the best way to describe the new movie is underwhelming. I think the problem with Jason Bourne (that's the movie not the man) is, not only does it feel like a rehash of previous movies but it also seems to have lost the realistic feel that the Bourne movies are known for.  The Russo Brothers have kicked off Phase 3 of the MCU with Captain America: Civil War. In his third solo outing, the man out of time must watch his team and his friends  get torn apart at a time when his new life collides with the old one. After a mission goes bad, the Avengers are faced with the Sokovia Accords, a document that'll put them under the control of the UN. This decision pits the team against each other, with half wanting to keep their independence and the other half wanting to keep the team together and on the right side of the law.
