Ballerina (2025) | Average Guy Movie Review

After her father is murdered by a mysterious group of assassins, Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) is accepted into the Ruska Roma crime syndicate. There she is trained as both an assassin and a bodyguard, to become a 'Kikimora'. But when she encounters a man bearing the same mark as those who killed her father, Eve is forced to go against her clan in order to unravel the secrets of her past. The world of John Wick  gets a little bigger with this introduction to another highly trained killer. Having already established her herself as an action star in No Time To Die , Ana de Armas looks to be unstoppable as Eve. Something could certainly be said of her focus, and sheer will. She is driven, but emotional. Her pain feels genuine, and de Armas has clearly tried to do her own thing with the character. It's also interesting to see this world from the perspective of someone who is up and coming, rather than those who have survived in it for many years. But did it really need to be anoth...

A Family Guy Christmas Ranking

Inspired by the arrival of  Family Guy 's take on the infamous  Hallmark  Christmas movie, I thought I'd do what everybody else has already done; rank all of the show's Christmas episodes. Back in the day I was quite an avid viewer of this crazy cartoon. Somewhere around that last  Star Wars  episode  ( It's a Trap! ), however,  something changed. That comedic edge was somehow lost. What else was I going to do? ︌ 13 The Return of the King (of Queens) We begin with an episode that isn't particularly festive. In fact, this could easily have not ...

What's Up, Moustache? #5 | Christmas Movie Watchlists

Here we go again! The jolliest of holidays, the most festive of festivities, is back to haunt us. Yep, it's Christmas. Which means it's time to do all that stuff we love to do around the holidays. Putting up trees and decorations. Wrapping presents. Oh, and my personal favourite... enduring the same shitty Christmas music over and over. Although I am loving all the Mariah Carey memes, this year. But on a more serious note; there are radio stations dedicated to Christmas music, and some of them have been live since September! Who the hell is listening to Christmas music in September?! However, it's not all bad. There's usually copious amounts of delicious food to consume, and some excellent movies to be watched. Often times, you can combine the two. How many Christmases have been saved by a good movie and/or some tasty food? I don't know if it has saved Christmas 2025, but before writing this I watched Planes, Trains & Automobiles . Not exactly a Christmas film, ...
