Facing financial ruin courtesy of an impending welfare reform, full-time carer Sadie (Shian Denovan) comes up with an audacious scheme to sabotage the new 'Independence Credit' before it can be voted in. She plans to send the government spiralling into chaos by stealing their leverage and crippling their chief whip. In order to do it Sadie will have to sneak into one of the UK's most secure buildings, so she's going to need some help. Let's face it, any opportunity to see a bunch of snivelling politicians - represented here by Ray Bullock Jnr's deliciously evil Chief Whip - get their comeuppance is going to be welcome with pretty much anyone. Even more so when it comes as the result of an Ocean's Eleven  style heist.  Somehow, through this cheesy heist movie that very closely reflects the world we live in - certainly here in the UK - writer/director/producer Christopher Presswell and writer Forgács W. After a brief hiatus - mainly to go see Deadpool & Wolverine  - I'm back to rewatching the X-Men  movies. As with Part 1  it's a mixed bag of movies, with some legendary highs, some rather unfortunate lows, and very little in between. For every Logan  there's an Apocalypse , I guess. So Logan survived his little adventure in Japan, only to come face to face with two old friends seeking his help with a coming threat. Cut to a few years later and the world has been ravaged by war, but I don't think that's Logan's fault. Days of Future Past  is certainly one of the more ambitious X-Men  movies, and it pays off. They’re off again! The team behind Long Way Round , Down and Up - Ewan McGregor, Charley Boorman, Russ Malkin, David Alexanian - are putting together a fourth season of the hit show. One involving travelling the long way from McGregor’s house in Scotland to Boorman’s in England, with 10,000 miles of Scandinavia, the Balkans, and a little bit of Europe in between. With the Battle of the Atlantic in full swing, Churchill is desperate to find a way to neutralise Hitler's U-Boats. Which leads British Intelligence to come up with an audacious and unorthodox plan. The idea being to sneak into the Spanish island port off the coast of Africa where the U-Boats are docked, and take out the boats that are resupplying them, seriously damaging their ability to target the convoys crossing from North America. Now they just need to find people crazy enough to take on such a mission. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare , a decidedly British story, has finally landed on British shores. It's a heavily fictionalised telling of Operation Postmaster - the real operation took about 30 minutes and not a shot was fired. But that doesn't prevent Guy Ritchie from having a little fun, delivering a little action-packed romp whilst also capturing that spirit needed to take on such a task, and the one that got Britain through the war. So... Deadpool & Wolverine . They're bringing the X-Men  and many more Fox  characters into the MCU . It is a movie phenomenon of epic proportions, not only seeing the oddball pair finally team up, but seeing them bring one cinematic universe into another. What will that mean for the MCU ? How many of these beloved characters will they bring over, and will they be played by the same actors? Yes and no, I guess. There are many questions surrounding this monumental cinematic event, and some of the answers may still be a long way off. On the bright side, that means there's plenty of time to revisit every movie in Fox's X-Men  franchise, which is exactly what I've done. Way back in the year 2000 Bryan Singer brought the X-Men  to the big screen, and fair to say; it was a bit of a thing.
