Breathe Easy: Average Guy Movie Review

Breathe Easy is an independent film, shot in multiple locations throughout ten countries. This global accomplishment took more than 20 directors roughly a year to make. Strange clouds have appeared in the sky across the globe and people are starting to behave in very strange ways. Governments are scrambling to deal with the crisis, but without knowing the cause, what can they do except...Breathe Easy?

In a time when Hollywood studios can afford to film all over the world, it's easy for us to become indifferent. But an independent film shooting in ten countries including the UK, US, Australia and Hong Kong is an incredible achievement. And the results speak for themselves. Instead of focusing on one region or group during a global disaster - with small updates of events occurring elsewhere - the action is shared pretty much equally across all locations. It's an interesting look at how different people react to the same situation. Some will run, some will hide. Some will just get drunk!

The approach is very different. There is definitely an element of parody to Breathe Easy. Not to the same degree as movies like Aeroplane, but it does take a more comical approach than the traditional disaster movie. Have you ever wondered how a witches coven or a bunch of pissheads would react to a global disaster? How will the Prime Minister react? These are questions that the film attempts to answer, in its own unique way.

If nothing more, Breathe Easy is a major accomplishment in terms of collaboration. My only gripe with the film is that the ending felt a bit rushed. Apart from that it's a fun and quirky look at what could be the end of the world.

7/10

Breathe Easy will be hitting the festival circuit later this year. Follow the film on twitter @BreatheEasy2016 for updates.

The Snyder Cut | Wouldn't Be The First Time a Director Got a Second Chance

It seems that a fairly common occurrence amongst movies tied to Warner Bros. is the magical disappearing/reappearing director. Does that mean there's hope for the Snyder Cut? I certainly hope so!

Ever since Justice League hit cinemas in 2017 - possibly even before - fans have been calling for Zack Snyder's original vision to be released. Snyder famously faced issues regarding the darker tone and longer run times his movies were taking, especially after the negative response to 'Batman v Superman'. This of course led to rewrites of the superhero team-up movie, and certain plotlines established or teased in 'BvS' - including the epic Knightmare scene - being dropped. The director then left the production after the tragic death of his daughter. Joss Whedon was brought in by the studio to finish the movie, this included the completion of post production and some major reshoots, further altering the movie. All of which resulted in a movie that is drastically differen…

Dates for Phase 5 of the MCU may have been Leaked

After unveiling Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at Comic Con last month, it's believed that plans for Phase 5 will be announced at D23. But have some of the release dates may have already been leaked?

Charles Murphy (@_CharlesMurphy) - someone who is known for revealing accurate info - has tweeted possible release dates for two upcoming movies. According to Murphy (which "could be subject to change"), Black Panther 2 will arrive in cinemas on 18th February 2022, and will be followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on 6th May 2022. These dates are similar to the movies that preceded them, Black Panther was released on 13th February 2018 and GOTG Vol. 2 on 27th April 2017. Both movies had a lot of success in their respective slots, so it makes sense that Marvel would attempt to continue that success with future instalments. It has also been confirmed by James Gunn, that he won't be working on GOTG Vol. 3 until after he's completed production of "The …

JOJO RABBIT | Moustache Teaser Reaction

If Top Gun: Maverick is the most exciting teaser of late, then the teaser trailer for "Jojo Rabbit" has got to be the most bizarre. If you haven't seen it, check it out below:

Taika Waititi's latest movie is based on the book "Caging Skies" by Christine Leunens, and tells the story of Jojo "Rabbit" Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis). A member of the Hitler Youth, Jojo's world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic. And the only person he has to turn to as he attempts to deal with all that he's going through, is his imaginary friend...Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi).

Now I know what you're thinking; "this sounds bat shit insane!" And to be fair, you're probably right. But Jojo Rabbit looks - in true Waititi fashion - absolutely hysterical. It is definitely something you have to see to believe, and that's just the trailer. One thing fans of …
