Film Carnage here are my answers to your questions (hope you like them)...
What is the next film you'll see at the cinema?
I plan to see Hacksaw Ridge next. You know what they say about well laid plans! If not watch Die Hard with a Vengeance and see what Samuel L. Jackson has to say.
What is your favourite book to film adaptation?
Jurassic Park. This came out when I was a kid, dinosaurs brought back to life and running round an island, what kid wouldn't love that? The movie does it's own thing while remaining faithful to the book and it looks incredible even today. They just need to stop with the sequels!
Battle of the Brothers: Ben Affleck or Casey Affleck?
As much as I like Casey Affleck and I haven't seen Manchester by the Sea as of yet, I pick Ben Affleck. I first saw him in Armageddon which I love and his recent movies have been great, both as a director and an actor. The Town, Argo, Live by Night, Gone Baby Gone, The Accountant, these are the works of a man on top of his game. He took on the role of Batman from Christian Bale - a mammoth task by all accounts - and he aced it.
What film do you most regret seeing?
This is a tough one but I think it has to be the Fantastic 4 reboot. From the trailers I thought this looked good, and it had a great cast. But we got a massive pile of shit! My girlfriend and I left the cinema feeling nothing but disappointed.
If you could spend 24 hours with any fictional character from film, who would it be?
Doc Brown from Back to the Future. We could hang out, check out historical events, effectively make that 24 hours last a lifetime if we wanted.
With the Oscars having just announced their nominations yesterday, which Best Picture winner do you think the Academy got most wrong?
1998 - Shakespeare in Love beat Saving Private Ryan...WTF?
What is your favourite Alfred Hitchcock film?
This one's easy, I've never seen an Alfred Hitchcock movie so I can't say.
What film can you most watch without getting bored of it?
Die Hard, this has got to be my favourite movie of all time. What a classic, it's a Christmas movie that's watchable all year round.
Which director would you pick to make a film about your life?
I think I'd pick Shane Black, he's a brilliant writer/director. Plus he can insert Christmas into any storyline and I used to be a Postman. For nearly ten years I despised everything Christmas, imagine the fun he could have with that!
DVD or Digital?
DVD, I'm old school that way. Plus I have a massive collection of DVD and Blu-Rays.
If you could only watch one genre of film for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Action. It covers a whole multitude of different movies and they're generally fun to watch.
